Climate change and our Responsibility Climate change is one of the most serious challenges facing humanity in the twenty -first century .It refers to long -term changes in the Earth's temperature and weather patterns , largely caused by human activities . Excessive burning of fossil fuels , deforestation , industrial pollution , and the rapid growth of cities have increased the amount of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere .As a result ,we are witnessing rising temperatures , melting glaciers , irregular rainfall, floods droughts , and other environmental problems . Protecting the environment is not only the responsibility of governments and organizations; it is the duty of every individual .We can contribute by saving electricity and water, reducing plastic consumption , planting trees, using pablic transport, and following the principals of reduce , reuse , and recycle . We should also encourage the use of renewable sources of energy such as solar and wind power . Young people have a particularly important role to play because they are the future of society.By spreading awareness and adopting environmentally friendly habits, they can inspire others to take action . Climate change is a global problem that requires collective effort. If we act responsibly today, we can build a cleaner, healthier, and more susceptible planet for future generations .
