Youth for Seva Organises Environmental Conservation Drive in Amravati Amravati: As part of its annual environmental conservation initiative, Youth for Seva, along with social and educational organisations from Amravati, organised a cleanliness and environmental service drive in the city. The initiative focused on the cleaning of water bodies, collection of Nirmalya (religious offerings), cleaning of platforms used for performing Aarti, and providing necessary assistance to the police administration. The service initiative was appreciated by Amravati City Police Commissioner Rakesh Ola and Amravati Municipal Commissioner Dr. Mangesh Gondawale, who acknowledged the efforts of the volunteers and extended their best wishes. Police Commissioner Rakesh Ola interacted with the volunteers, sought information about the entire drive and personally introduced himself to the participating volunteers. Appreciating their efforts, he said, “All of you are well-educated young people, and it is commendable that you are taking time out from your schedules to come here and serve.” More than 60 volunteers from various fields participated enthusiastically in the initiative. Volunteers from Government Polytechnic College, NSS IBSS Gode Engineering College, Shambhu Shaurya Mardani Akhada and Ambika Nagar Ganesh Utsav Mandal, along with other citizens and volunteers from across Amravati, took part in the drive. The programme was attended by Mahanagar Gatividhi Pramukh Shri Apurvji Mohod, Mahanagar Sharirik Pramukh Shri Atharvji Pahade, Dr. Amol More and Professor Sharayu Konde, among others. The initiative aimed to promote environmental awareness, cleanliness and a spirit of community service among citizens, particularly the younger generation. The organisers highlighted the importance of collective participation in keeping public spaces and water bodies clean while supporting civic authorities in maintaining cleanliness and order.
