### Awareness on the Harmful Effects of Single-Use Plastic An awareness programme was conducted for students to explain the harmful effects of single-use plastic items such as plastic bags, cups, plates, straws, and bottles. Students were informed that single-use plastics cause environmental pollution, clog drainage systems, and harm animals and aquatic life. These plastics take hundreds of years to decompose and may break down into microplastics, which can enter our food and water. Students were encouraged to avoid single-use plastics, use reusable bags and bottles, and follow the principles of Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle to protect our environment and create a cleaner, healthier future.
