We have planted around 500 plants last year, but AS road dust is creating pm 2.5 and pm10 and amounting to raise aqi, we planned to plant bogunvalia and kaner at the fencing so that leaves absorb maximum possible dust, however we are pursuing HSVP and HSPCB to repair the roads. In accordance with the directions of WINTER ACTION PLAN it is mandatory to keep roads free of dust. Want to bring one more thing into notice of people that despite very low per capita co2 emissions of our country(3 tonnes) as compared to very high USA emissions (17-18 tonnes per person) pur cities record very high AQI because of population density, road side dust, potholes on roads, fuel used, industrial emissions, stubble burning ,and various other factors. As a responsible citizen we must report every activity not consistent with the environment policy to competent govt authorities and make our best efforts to spread awareness among people.
