Create Your Own Nursery by Transplanting Plants Grown During the Monsoon Season

The monsoon season brings life to our surroundings, making it the perfect time to cultivate and transplant plants. Recently, a commendable initiative was undertaken by PSG team SUBHASH NAGAR members Ms. Ritu, Mr. Ganesh, Vishwanath, and the Uniworld 1 Horticulture team. They conducted a drive at Jharsa Bandh Pond in Sector 47; Gurugram. This drive resulted in the collection of around 50 plants, which will be utilized in the next plantation drive. Steps to Create Your Own Nursery Selection of Plants: Choose native and hardy plants that thrive in your region's climatic conditions. During the monsoon, collect young plants or saplings that have sprouted naturally. Preparing the Nursery Site: Select a well-drained area with adequate sunlight. Ensure the soil is fertile and rich in organic matter. Transplanting the Plants: Carefully dig out the young plants, ensuring minimal root disturbance. Transplant them into prepared pots or directly into the nursery bed.Provide shade for delicate plants, especially during the hot afternoon sun. Use nets or temporary structures to protect plants from heavy rains and strong winds. Hardening Off: Gradually expose nursery plants to outdoor conditions before transplanting them to their final locations. The dedication of Ms. Ritu, Mr. Ganesh, Vishwanath, and the Uniworld 1 Horticulture team, sets a remarkable example for others to follow. Together, we can make a significant impact on our surroundings, one plant at a time.
