BIO-ENZYME Workshop / Seminar & Demonstration

4th April 2024 Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan’s Bhavan’s College. A Bio enzyme Seminar/Workshop and Demonstration was conducted for around 80 plus, 1st and 2nd year degree students and staff of the IT Department by MY GREEN SOCIETY. Mr. Manish Bharatiyaji, and Bharathi ji Dhoot conducted the workshop with a detailed Presentation and Demonstration. To achieve any Sustainability Development Goal, it’s very important to emphasize the importance of proper scientific methods for Management of all sorts of waste. Bio enzymes can be prepared by fermentation of around 10 to 15 percent of average kitchen waste and pooja offered flowers and leaves. These solutions help in the breakdown of any dead organic matter and hence help in the cycling of materials of wet wastes. This also takes care of accumulation of wet waste, which has a harmful effect on both Health and Environment. It’s versatility in household cleaning of almost every surface, every material, use in agriculture, animal husbandry, its capability to restore the biodiversity in soil, improving the soil conditions, reducing Soil, Air and Water pollution were shown in the presentation. Head of the department, Staff and students appreciated the whole program and many students showed keen interest in recording what they learnt. They even got their queries solved. A small booklet with all the information to prepare and care to be taken was shared to help them start off with the preparation and its applications. The HOD assured us that students and staff will set up at least one batch immediately even though they are busy studying for the exams and have Bio enzymes ready by the time college reopens after the summer vacations. Interestingly, compulsorily every student filled a feedback google form. This kind of involvement helps real work evolve and change can be seen.
