Posting Rules

Why limits exist

EcoMitram is a community feed for genuine eco-friendly actions — tree plantings, cleanups, awareness drives, and daily habits. Posting limits keep the feed high-quality and protect the community from spam, duplicate posts, and automated accounts.

Limits apply to all accounts and are enforced automatically. They are not a sign that anything is wrong with your account.

The rules

  • New-account cooldown — new members can post after a short waiting period from the time they joined. The exact time is shown on the post page when the cooldown is active.
  • Daily post limit — each account can share a small number of posts per calendar day (IST). Once the limit is reached, posting is unlocked again at midnight IST. The counter resets automatically — no action needed.
  • Abusive content — posts containing hate speech, violent content, or sexual material are automatically hidden and may lead to account suspension.

What you can do right away

Even during the new-account cooldown you can:

  • Browse and like posts in the community feed
  • Comment on others' posts
  • Join campaigns and quizzes
  • Complete assessments and earn certificates
  • Set up your profile

What gets a post hidden

Posts are automatically checked for abusive content (hate speech, violence, explicit material). Flagged posts are hidden from the feed pending review. The post is not deleted — it can be reinstated after a manual review clears it.

Posts that are clearly promotional, off-topic, or duplicate the same content repeatedly may be hidden by moderators.

How to appeal or report

If you think your post was hidden in error, or if you see content that violates these rules, use the Report button on the post. Our moderation team reviews reports and will reinstate posts that were incorrectly flagged.
